Blogs as Political Communication
Friedrich Naumann Stiftung (FNS) has recently organised a workshop to promote blogging as an effective means for political communications. ClickAsia producer Sam Hui spoke to the organiser and participants.
Human Rights violations including denial of the right to livelihoods in ceasefire zones in Eastern Burma are still causing displacement in the ethnic areas.

Producer's Note:
The video was mostly shot in Mon state of Burma. It's a ceasefire area where Mon refugees were forcibly repatriated from Thailand about 10 years ago. Access to some of the areas was difficult as it was a mountain route passing through different armed groups controlled-areas. Other footages were from groups inside Burma such as Karenni and Karen. The video is made in 2004 and now in 2006, things are not better for them. More and more people are moving to be illegal migrant workers in Thailand.
This film features views and wishes of young Malaysians on Vision 2020 with a witty twist at the beginning. It was one of the many entries in the 1st Malaysian Human Rights Film Fest organised by Komas.
The proposed RM3.8bil Kelau Dam is to supply raw water from Pahang to Selangor State. The project will also displace local farmers and indigenous people (Orang Asli).
