Note:
Three men were arrested and charged for this heinous crime. Two of them belong to the Police Special Action Force. The third man was a well-known political analyst linked to powerful politicians.

The first day of this sensational trial in this region was chaotic. A defendant's counsel discharged himself citing 'interference from third parties'. The public prosecutors were taken out and replaced by the head of the Civil division of the Attorney-General's office. The judge allowed for a 2-week postponement.

This raised alarm bells among the human rights and legal fraternity.

The trial will begin once again on 18 June 2007. The world will be watching the trial and Malaysia.

This is the story of Prof. Shaariibuu Setev, a father struggling to find justice for his daughter.
